@phantas: huhs? $199 is the US price. 120€ would be the direct-to-Euro conversion price. I would be most surprised if I see a 8Gb for €150 in PT. But we are talking about the data-plans here...
At least, the option of using the usual data plans already available on top of your voice plan would be good.
And this applies to any mobile device, mind you, not iPhone specific.

hums, I'm thinking about the Push thing: will it be smart enough to use WiFi when the iPhone is connected? How much of an overhead can it be? and will it have the option to be turned off? thinking mobile.me here, for instance, what with images and such

i would love to have nice data plans for any mobile.
current solutions are based on 3G laptop cards, or hourly/day usage.

I don't mind having caps on bandwidth but they should be reasonable caps. At least 15Gb month would do me just fine.
As for price, I don't mind signing a 2 years contract if I can get below €20.
I doubt I will get either of them...
